Forays of Fritz - Greater Des Moines Partnership
How do you get a bunch of high schoolers to not only read something, but absorb mission critical information? That's the question the Greater Des Moines Partnership had.
Working with their leadership, Cultivate devised a clever strategy: Create a comic book that wove in their five key messages. In addition, crafting Des Moines metro imagery into the backgrounds, sending the subtle message that Des Moines was actually a great place to live and work.
Did it work? You bet it did. It worked so well, in fact, the campaign representatives had to hand these books after school presentations because the students were so engrossed in the comic books.
Strategic Branding - MD Alignment
How do you brand a company that is beyond cutting edge, but has a remarkably straightforward and simple process?
That's what MD Alignment had to accomplish. A small company that runs more like a family than a corporation, you would be shocked to realize not only are they a fairly big operation, but a global one!
Their mission is quite simple: Create better aligned truck tires, thereby saving on fuel and tire replacement costs for their customer. We aren't talking one thousand dollars a year here, we are talking millions of savings all from their simple training program and easy to use system.
Cultivate's branding process and logo work clearly demonstrate not only their simple process, but their global impact. The strategies implemented helped them uncover hidden growth opportunities by aligning the company on a central mission and focus.
Stench - Kemin Industries
How do you communicate a point of success when many have tried and failed before you? To make matters worse, how do you market a product an industry is scared of?
Kemin Industries had this exact challenge. They had developed a revolutionary product called ButiPearl, designed to remove the foul odor from Butyric Acid. For those who don't know, Butyric Acid is healthy in chicken feed, but smells so fowl (pun and spelling intended) people can't work with it.
Many have tried and failed to do this before, so the industry was jaded and desensitized by any claims of this nature. The only thing that would have received attention was to actually hit people in the face; so in a way, that's what we did.
In a market dominated by sterile stock photo promotions and ads, Stench was quite a shocker. Cultivate's campaign efforts and strategy behind those efforts were well received, generating lots of interest, opening new advertising possibilities and even getting Kemin featured in a UK News Website.
Marketing Vision - Athena GTX
When you've worked with US Special Forces and Delta Force on life saving technology, what's the next step? That's right, saving the world!
Athena GTX hired Cultivate to help them transition into healthcare. Well known for their specialized military work, they were virtually unknown in healthcare, despite having superior technology and systems.
Not only did Cultivate formalize a new market focus, mission and vision documents and new branding but also recruited a head designer for their marketing department and arranged three national press hits. Oh, and it all happened in one year with a slim budget.
“Justin Brady at Cultivate has helped to re-brand our company and give us great marketing direction. He is energetic, personal, professional and highly knowledgeable in his line of work.”
- Lyn Darrah, VP of Business Development @ Athena GTX.
Web Scope + Vision - The Members Group
Not only is constant innovation and new product development hard work, but making sure your customers are kept in the loop is a task all in itself.
The Members Group is a forward thinking company that sells anti-fraud, credit, debit and other products to small banks and credit unions. Due to their light-speed evolution, growth and their constant development of new new products, they looked into the future realizing their web strategy would soon be inefficient to keep up with the added complexity.
Cultivate opened up creative ideas with their team, focused those ideas and produced an actionable strategy moving forward. They tell the story much better.
TMG worked with Cultivate to create a scope document for a very complex project. Through the process, they took a consultative approach to understanding TMG’s needs and expectations and then proposed innovative solutions and recommendations. The end result was a comprehensive scope document that took a complex set of problems and simplified them to an easily consumable and actionable document.
- Brian Day, Director, Digital Strategy @ TMG
Cultivate's strategy and marketing efforts start long before the product is even finished, and those efforts have received national attention, an Emmy nomination, including front and center attention in publications including Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and others.
